The Amniola Shrine was the burial place of the Amniola, final chapter to The Hemmin Spotter, and a site of yearly pilgrimage for the Hemminites. It is carved on an elevated parcel of stone, into the hollowed-out shape of the symbol representing the chapter. Within, the shrine proper is the same shape but much smaller.
The shrine is believed to have been carved by Hemminite ancestors under the direction of the book's anonymous author, who may have made them promise never to dig up or read the chapter. In any case, they have since destroyed the chapter and so the shrine is now little more than an interestingly-shaped rock.
