Arleil Schous was an aging Defel male. Like all Defels, he had the ability to bend light around himself, becoming especially hard to see at dusk, though his ability to do this had diminished with age. He operated as a mercenary, and was one of the Rebel Alliance's contacts in Mos Eisley.
He was present at Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina the fateful day that Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi entered the bar. He sat with Bom Vimdin, Pons Limbic, Hem Dazon, and a hooded individual with a mustache.
